About me

I am a doctoral candidate in the department of political science at the University of Iowa. My research agenda focuses on interest groups and policymaking in the states. My dissertation project studies the strategies interest groups employ in state legislatures and how effective they are. My broader research agenda also looks at interest groups in Congress and other aspects of policymaking in the states.

Prior to the University of Iowa, I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.
